Sameer Verma is a passionate software engineer with over 4 years of relevant experience. He is currently working as a Backend Developer at Meesho, where he is learning every aspect of designing and developing scalable, low-latency applications. Sameer is also experienced in distributed systems and is always eager to learn new technologies and programming languages. Before joining Meesho, Sameer worked as a Software Development Intern at Amazon, where he worked with the Performance Advertising Team to build a new analytic tool named Spektr for internal use. He also worked on adding support to various critical datasets in Spektr using Java, Mockito, JUnit testing framework, and various AWS resources. Sameer has also worked as a Software Developer (Backend) at Gameskraft, where he designed and developed the architecture for various microservices. He implemented many new features from scratch in Gamezy, a fantasy sports app, including team creation, contest creation, private contest creation, new variants in existing sports, and adding new sports. He also set up a Cassandra cluster on AWS and designed data models to handle an expanding user base. In addition to his professional experience, Sameer has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Lovely Professional University. He also attended Programming Pathshala to study Data Structures and Algorithms. Sameer completed his Senior Secondary and Higher Secondary education from St. Francis School. Sameer is skilled in a range of technologies, including Cassandra, AWS, Mobile, Java, Redis, MySQL, Kafka, Spring Boot, and Microservices. He is an excellent problem solver and has a great understanding of software engineering principles. Sameer is currently working as a Problem Setter and Event Organizer at Cypher Programming Club, where he helps university students in programming by organizing contests on various coding platforms and workshops in Competitive Programming for beginners.
